Venerdì 26 settembre il Palazzetto dello Sport di Roma ha vissuto una serata di grande entusiasmo: la Virtus GVM Roma 1960 ha conquistato la sua prima vittoria in casa della stagione, superando la Consultinvest Loreto Pesaro con il punteggio di (76-69).
Un successo arrivato al termine di una partita combattuta, che ha confermato le ambizioni della squadra.
Il protagonista assoluto della serata è stato Yancarlos Rodriguez, autore di una prestazione scintillante: 23 punti con percentuali altissime (6/6 da due, 3/4 da tre), 6 rimbalzi e 4 assist.
…Energia, precisione e leadership che hanno acceso i tifosi della Virtus Roma e trascinato la squadra nei momenti decisivi del match.
Accanto a lui determinante l’impatto di Leonardo Battistini, capace di incidere con 15 punti e 12 rimbalzi.
Daniele Toscano e Giovanni Lenti hanno garantito ordine e continuità, completando un mosaico vincente che ha trovato il suo collante nel calore del pubblico romano.

Alla vigilia del match il General Manager di Loreto Pesaro, Federico Ligi, ha sottolineato: “La squadra è nuova, nessuno ha ancora ricoperto il ruolo da protagonista che ci aspettiamo. Serviranno pazienza e sacrificio… Alcune partite andranno portate a casa a tutti i costi…”.
Anche Gabriele Ceccarelli, Coach del Pesaro, prima del match aveva chiesto una reazione della squadra, dopo il KO dell’esordio: “Dobbiamo a noi stessi una risposta, perché giochiamo su un campo caldo…”.
Per la Virtus, invece, questo successo rappresenta molto più di una vittoria: è la conferma che la squadra ha una propria identità e che la sinergia tra giocatori, staff e tifosi è in un’arma decisiva.

On Friday, September 26, the Palazzetto dello Sport in Rome was filled with great excitement as Virtus GVM Roma 1960 claimed their first home victory of the season, defeating Consultinvest Loreto Pesaro (76-69).
It was a hard-fought win that confirmed the team’s ambitions.
The undisputed star of the evening was Yancarlos Rodriguez, who delivered a brilliant performance: 23 points with outstanding shooting percentages (6/6 from two, 3/4 from three), 6 rebounds, and 4 assists.
His energy, precision, and leadership ignited the Virtus Roma fans and carried the team through the decisive moments of the match.
Alongside him, Leonardo Battistini made a crucial impact with 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Daniele Toscano and Giovanni Lenti provided stability and consistency, completing a winning mosaic held together by the warmth of the Roman crowd.
Consultinvest Loreto Pesaro relied on the 17 points from Tommaso Pillastrini and the all-around performance of Federico Tognacci, who finished with 16 points and 6 rebounds.
