Festa de’ Noantri 2025: Trastevere tra tradizione, musica e devozione
Un mese di eventi culturali, spettacoli e celebrazioni per vivere l’anima autentica del quartiere romano più amato

Trastevere sta vivendo uno dei momenti più intensi e sentiti della sua tradizione: la Festa de’ Noantri 2025. Per quasi tutto il mese di luglio il quartiere si anima con un ricco calendario di eventi culturali, spettacoli e celebrazioni che raccontano la storia e l’anima di questa antica festa, profondamente radicata nel cuore dei trasteverini e amata finanche da chi arriva da fuori, attratto dalla sua magia autentica.
Lorenza Bonaccorsi, Presidente del Municipio I Roma Centro, sottolinea con entusiasmo quanto questa manifestazione riesca ogni anno a coinvolgere cittadini e turisti, rinnovando l’identità di un quartiere che da sempre è simbolo di cultura, comunità e tradizione.
Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere, Piazza Mastai, Piazza dei Ponziani, Piazza San Francesco a Ripa, i Giardini di Donna Olimpia e il Museo in Trastevere sono i palcoscenici naturali di un programma variegato, pensato per coinvolgere persone di tutte le età.
Le serate a Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere sono un susseguirsi di spettacoli che spaziano dalla musica folk soul di Ida Elena, passando per l’omaggio a Gabriella Ferri con Raffaella Misiti e Le Romane, fino ai concerti della Banda del Corpo della Polizia Municipale di Roma Capitale e degli Ardecore, il tutto accompagnato da momenti di teatro.
Piazza Mastai si trasforma in un vivace villaggio enogastronomico con stand di street food, visite guidate e attività per bambini; mentre Piazza San Francesco a Ripa offre un ciclo di performance di cantautori che intrecciano sonorità contemporanee e tradizione popolare.
Non mancano, inoltre, incontri culturali e spettacoli teatrali, ospitati nelle vicinanze del Teatro Trastevere, con appuntamenti dedicati a figure come Monica Vitti e storie che raccontano la romanità più autentica, alternate a momenti di comicità e dramma leggero.
Per i più piccoli i Giardini di Donna Olimpia propongono laboratori ludico-teatrali; mentre visite guidate tra le vie e i musei del quartiere permettono a tutti di scoprire storie e curiosità di Trastevere.
Al centro di questa festa c’è naturalmente la profonda devozione per la Madonna del Carmine, chiamata affettuosamente “Madonna de’ Noantri”.
Le celebrazioni religiose, infatti, accompagnano tutta la manifestazione, con momenti solenni che uniscono la comunità in preghiera e festa.
La statua della Madonna è uscita dalla chiesa di Sant’Agata il 19 luglio, per una suggestiva processione che ha attraverseto le vie di Trastevere, accompagnata dalla banda della Polizia Municipale e dalla Fanfara dei Bersaglieri.
…Un rituale che emoziona e unisce generazioni.
Domenica 27 luglio la Processione Madonna Fiumarola partirà dal Circolo Canottieri Lazio, navigherà sul Tevere fino all’imbarcadero di Calata degli Anguillara e proseguirà tra i vicoli.
Infine, come dimenticare i tradizionali fuochi d’artificio che illumineranno la notte trasteverina.
Questa festa, che affonda le sue radici nella storia del quartiere, risale al 1535, quando alcuni pescatori trovarono proprio la statua della Madonna Fiumarola, scolpita in legno di cedro, alla foce del Tevere.
Da allora la Madonna Fiumarola è divenuta un simbolo di protezione e speranza per tutta la comunità e, invero, Santa Protettrice dei trasteverini, oggi custodita nella chiesa di Sant’Agata, dopo un lungo viaggio che ha visto la statua spostarsi da una cappella dedicata alla famiglia Borghese fino alla sua sede attuale.
La Festa de’ Noantri non è solo una celebrazione religiosa ma un’occasione per ritrovarsi, celebrare le proprie radici e vivere la bellezza di Trastevere tra musica, cultura, sapori e devozione.
…Un invito a tutti ad immergersi in questo viaggio che, ogni anno, rinnova la passione e l’energia di un quartiere che vive attraverso la sua storia e la sua gente.

A month of cultural events, performances and celebrations to experience the authentic soul of Rome’s best-loved district

Trastevere is experiencing one of the most intense and heartfelt moments of its tradition: Festa de’ Noantri 2025. For almost the entire month of July the neighborhood comes alive with a rich calendar of cultural events, performances and celebrations that tell the story and soul of this ancient festival, deeply rooted in the hearts of Trasteverini and also loved by those who come from outside, attracted by its authentic magic.
Lorenza Bonaccorsi, President of the Municipio I Roma Centro, enthusiastically emphasizes how this event manages to involve citizens and tourists every year, renewing the identity of a district that has always been a symbol of culture, community and tradition.
Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere, Piazza Mastai, Piazza dei Ponziani, Piazza San Francesco a Ripa, the Gardens of Donna Olimpia and the Museum in Trastevere are the natural stages for a varied program, designed to involve people of all ages.
The evenings in Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere feature a succession of shows ranging from Ida Elena‘s soulful folk music, to a homage to Gabriella Ferri with Raffaella Misiti and Le Romane, to concerts by the Band of the Municipal Police Corps of Rome and Ardecore, all accompanied by moments of theater.
Piazza Mastai is transformed into a lively food and wine village with street food stands, guided tours and children’s activities, while Piazza San Francesco a Ripa offers a series of performances by singer-songwriters who weave together contemporary sounds and popular tradition.
There are also cultural meetings and theatrical performances, hosted in the vicinity of the Trastevere Theatre, with appointments dedicated to figures such as Monica Vitti and stories that recount the most authentic Roman spirit, alternating with moments of comedy and light drama.
For the little ones the Gardens of Donna Olimpia offer play and theater workshops, while guided tours through the streets and museums of the district allow everyone to discover stories and curiosities of Trastevere.
At the heart of this festival is, of course, the profound devotion to Madonna del Carmine, affectionately known as “Madonna de” Noantri’.
Religious celebrations, as a matter of fact, accompany the entire event, with solemn moments that unite the community in prayer and celebration.
The statue of Madonna emerged from the church of Sant’Agata on 19 July, for an evocative procession through the streets of Trastevere, accompanied by the Municipal Police band and the Fanfare dei Bersaglieri.
…A ritual that moves and unites generations.
On Sunday 27 July, Madonna Fiumarola procession will start from the Circolo Canottieri Lazio, sail along the Tiber to the Calata of Anguillara landing stage, and continue through the alleys.
Lastly, how can one forget the traditional fireworks that will illuminate Trastevere’s night.
This festival, which has its roots in the history of the district, dates back to 1535, when some fishermen found the statue of Madonna Fiumarola, carved from cedar wood, at the mouth of the Tiber.
Since then, Madonna Fiumarola has become a symbol of protection and hope for the entire community and, indeed, the patron saint of Trastevere people. Today it is kept in the church of Sant’Agata, after a long journey that saw the statue move from a chapel dedicated to the Borghese family to its current location.
Festa de’ Noantri is not just a religious celebration but an opportunity to come together, celebrate one’s roots and experience the beauty of Trastevere through music, culture, flavors and devotion.
